Over 140 attend New “Zoo in Your Neighborhood” Program at East Lansing Library

Zoo in Your Neighborhood (ZIYN) is a new program from Potter Park Zoo that brings the zoo to you! This program, generously supported by the Community Foundation, allows over 30 partners to bring zoo experiences into their communities. We are off to a great start! Since the program started in November, there have been eight programs, with many more planned in upcoming months. It is great to see our communities come together and enjoy learning about animals.

East Lansing Public Library

Capital Area District Library (CADL) Mason kicked off January with an awesome turnout for their “Reading with the Animals” event, and over 140 people attended a “Live Animal Presentation” at the East Lansing Public Library. Our next program is a “Reading with the Animals” at CADL Holt Jan. 27, 2018 from 10:45 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
As part of Zoo in Your Neighborhood, each community partner has free zoo passes that can be checked out by their members or clients. They are being used often. Take your family on a fun trip to the zoo this winter with a zoo pass! It is a great time to see many of our animals.
