Wild Wanderers Club Returns for a Second Season at Potter Park Zoo

The Wild Wanderers Club is back for its second season at Potter Park Zoo! Beginning April 1 and running through Labor Day, the club will once again offer participants a chance to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with nature, all while enjoying the zoo’s scenic beauty during an early morning adventure from 8-9 a.m. daily.
“Being outside and active is one of the simplest ways to improve both mental and physical well-being,” said Heath Thurman, Potter Park Zoo’s Communications Specialist. “We’re excited to provide our community with a welcoming space to experience these benefits firsthand.”
The Wild Wanderers Club is perfect for individuals of all ages and fitness levels, offering a relaxed, self-paced environment to connect with nature. Participants can explore winding paths surrounded by the zoo’s greenery before the zoo opens to the general public. Whether you’re looking to add movement to your morning routine or enjoy some peaceful time in nature,  the club has something for everyone.
“There’s something truly special about experiencing the zoo in the quiet morning hours,” Thurman added. “It’s a chance to enjoy a peaceful morning, immerse yourself in the sounds of nature, and get some fresh air before the day begins.”
