After sixteen years of standing tall and welcoming millions of visitors, the zoo’s entrance sign is ready for a well-deserved retirement. Originally installed in March of 2008, we will say goodbye to the sign that has greeted guests at Potter Park Zoo for years. The sign will be removed Nov. 1. Though we’re sad to see it go, we’re excited to move forward with a fresh look!
A new entrance sign will be installed, marking a new chapter in the zoo’s journey. Over the years, we’ve grown and evolved in countless ways, and this new sign symbolizes the continued progress we strive for every day.
We’d like to thank the Team Lansing Foundation for providing a grant that is funding this change to our entrance sign.
While the sign changes, our commitment to conservation, education, and animal care remains the same. Stay tuned for updates and sneak peeks of the new sign—we can’t wait for you to see it!
