Potter Park Zoo is excited to announce the launch of our updated virtual tour, offering an immersive and comprehensive virtual tour of the entire zoo. This significant milestone furthers our commitment to accessibility, ensuring that all visitors, regardless of ability, can explore and enjoy the zoo.
In partnership with Able Eyes, Potter Park Zoo previously provided virtual tours of four separate buildings. Now, we are proud to expand this offering to include a virtual walk-through tour of the entire zoo. This enhancement allows guests to navigate the zoo virtually, and provides a valuable resource for persons with disabilities to assess accessibility and plan their visit with ease.
“Greater Lansing is truly blessed to have Potter Park Zoo, a place that cares deeply about making their space accessible for all. Able Eyes is honored to partner with such an amazing zoo to promote inclusion and accessibility for every visitor” said Evan Winters, President of Able Eyes.
Virtual tours not only benefit individuals with disabilities but also serve as a fantastic resource for travelers from out of town or out of state, offering a preview of what they can expect when they visit Potter Park Zoo. This initiative reflects our ongoing efforts to make the zoo a welcoming and accessible destination for all.
“Completing this major milestone is a testament to our dedication to creating an inclusive environment for all visitors,” said Mariah Martinez, Equity and Engagement Program Manager at Potter Park Zoo. “We are excited to see how this tool will make new experiences more comfortable and enjoyable for everyone in our community and beyond.”
We invite everyone to explore our updated virtual tour and discover the wonders of Potter Park Zoo from the comfort of their own home. Click here to embark on your virtual adventure today.
