New This Year at Boo at the Zoo: Dress-a-Skeleton!

Introducing Dress-a-Skeleton!

*We are SOLD OUT for 2025! If you would like to participate next year, feel free to email Jenna Worthington at jworthington@ingham.org to be added to a contact list for 2026 when skeletons become available. THANK YOU to our 2025 participants!*

Fall is just around the corner, and we’re thrilled to introduce a brand-new way to celebrate Halloween at the Zoo: The Dress-a-Skeleton program!

This exciting addition to our annual Boo at the Zoo festivities invites families, businesses, and organizations to get creative and a little spooky by sponsoring and decorating a life-sized skeleton. Whether you’re crafting a funny, frightful, or fabulously themed skeleton, your creation will be on display for all to see throughout the month of October.

Why should you participate?

  • A Unique Halloween Tradition
    • Dress-a-Skeleton gives you the chance to leave your mark on one of the Zoo’s most beloved seasonal events. Decorated skeletons will be featured across the zoo grounds, creating photo-worthy moments for thousands of guests.
  • Get Creative
    • Turn your skeleton into a ballerina, firefighter, pirate, or even your company mascot; the possibilities are endless! It’s a unique way to promote your organization and bring your Halloween spirit to life.
  • Visibility for Your Business or Group
    • Each skeleton will be displayed with a sign recognizing your family, business, or organization. Plus, your name will be listed on the official Boo at the Zoo webpage as a spook-tacular sponsor.
  • Support the Zoo
    • By participating, you’re helping support the Zoo’s mission and programming, all while having fun at the zoo with family, friends, or the work team!

How do I sign up?

Sponsorship spots are limited and expected to fill quickly. Contact the Events Department at JWorthington@ingham.org or 517-342-2709 to sign-up today!
