Penny has been advocating for Purple Martins since 2010, and her backyard colonies have been attracting these friendly and cheerful swallows since 1985. Her recent travels to Amazonia have given her unique insights into their behavior and winter roosting habits.
During her presentation, Penny will share her vast knowledge of these fascinating birds, covering their unique nesting requirements and behavior. She’ll also explain why their numbers are declining and how humans can help by providing essential nest cavities.
