Potter Park Zoo is hosting our April FALCONERS event Saturday, April 29, from 8 to 11 a.m. FALCONERS is a free program which offers children with autism and their entire family an opportunity to enjoy wonderful zoo experiences designed just for them.
There are several stations scattered throughout the zoo featuring fun, hands-on activities centered around a central theme. This month’s theme is “Earth Day Every Day” and has games, crafts and many other fun, educational activities.
Please Note: While the original focus of this program was for children with autism, FALCONERS is open to all children of any special need and their families. The zoo opens an hour early exclusively for FALCONERS. Thanks to support from the Capital Region Community Foundation, this program is free. (While there will be a $10/family registration fee assessed at registration, that $10 fee is reimbursed once you arrive.)
There is still time to register for Saturday’s event. Registration is simple and is online at: https://www.potterparkzoo.org/wildlife-education/falconers.
