Rebecca is a member of our education staff at Potter Park Zoo. During the school year, she teaches Animal Science and Zoo Management to local high school students through the Eaton RESA Career Preparation Center and is the Eaton RESA FFA Advisor. During the summer, she is one of the Zookambi summer camp instructors and teaches camp topics such as Dr. Zoo-euss and Animal Health.
Rebecca has an undergraduate degree in Biology from Saginaw Valley State University (Go Cards!) and a Master’s degree in Comparative Medicine and Integrative Biology through the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. While at MSU as a graduate student, Rebecca worked in the Insect Microbiology Lab for five years as a research associate and completed a certification in college teaching. A perpetual student, she is currently taking courses at MSU towards her Occupational Certification for Career and Technical Education in Ag, Food, and Natural Resources.
