Are you looking for a Potter Park Zoo experience that’s a little more special, more personal, and behind the scenes? Whether it’s an Animal Meet & Greet or a Zookeeper Experience,  we’ve got experiences you’ll never forget.

Animal Meet & Greets

An incredible 25-minute behind the scenes experience for your small group of 1-6 participants (depending on the species). Meet the animals and hear about the animals from the zookeepers who know them best!

Looking for a gift to ‘WOW’ a special someone?  Need a ‘Knock Your Socks Off’ gift for a client, loved one or even to celebrate a special occasion? We’ve got you covered!

Go behind the scenes of a favorite animal exhibit and meet them up close and personal.  Visit with the Zookeeper who knows them best and learn about their home, daily activities and what it takes to keep each one healthy and happy.

Not all meet & greets are fully accessible. Please contact Erin O’Rourke at (517) 244-8042 or eorourke@ingham.org if accommodations are necessary.

Please be aware that meet & greets book months in advance and your selected date may not be available. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Zookeeper Encounters

An incredible one hour experience for 1-2 people (depending on the species)! This experience will take you behind the scenes to work with a zookeeper on their daily tasks and learn what it takes to care for the animals every day. Please note that zookeeper encounters are an educational experience that is not focused on meeting the animals, but seeing how they are cared for.

Have you ever dreamed of being a zookeeper? Now is your chance to work alongside a zookeeper at Potter Park Zoo and learn what it takes to care for the animals every day. If you love animals big or small, scaly or furry, then we have an encounter for you.

Not all encounters are fully accessible. Please contact Sarah Foote at (517) 342-2703 or sfoote@ingham.org if accommodations are necessary.
