Volunteers Who Educate

Do you love working with people and animals?  Are you passionate about wildlife conservation? Become a Potter Park Zoo Volunteer Educator and join others with the same appreciation for wildlife and desire to make a difference.

What does a Volunteer Educator do?

Zoo volunteers who educate are the friendly, fun-loving and knowledgeable men and women who conduct the various educational programs at the zoo.  They are often seen at Conservation Education Stations and leading tours.

After completing volunteer orientation  at least 20 hours of non-education volunteer work, volunteers are eligible to take additional training on interpretation and activity specific content.  After training you will shadow experienced volunteers to receive additional on-the-job training.
