Did You Know?
The main threat to River Otters are water pollution and habitat destruction.
Thank you to everyone who participated in Boo at the Zoo! Mother
Nature held off the rain and gave us a beautiful fall backdrop to enjoy loads
of Halloween activities. During the 4 day event we were visited by more than
6500 ghosts, goblins, princesses…and one kid in a really cool transformer
costume! The Zoo Members were out in record numbers and the Community Partners
offered tons of games and giveaways. A
special shout out to the hula-hoopers…what a fun activity to watch and
play! Volunteers and docents played a
huge part in making Boo at the Zoo a success.
It takes more than 500 volunteer hours each weekend to keep the Boo fun
moving along! From the partners to the
volunteers to the guests and zoo members, huge THANKS for a wonderful couple of
holiday weekends. And from all of us at
the zoo, enjoy a fun and safe Halloween!
